The evolution of Church Street

I recently came across a couple of interesting articles about the Church Street corridor and the Church/ Wellesley neighbourhood.  I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in this neighbourhood over the last 25 years and am excited to have witnessed the constant change and evolution of Church Street.   The neighbourhood still maintains it’s unique charm, energy, and character even with the changes.  When neighbourhoods that are as vibrant as this one resist change there is always the risk that stagnation can set in.  I believe the new development is good for the Village.  It brings more residents which in turn helps support local business.  It also brings increased options of home ownership and choice for those who wish to live in the neighbourhood but don’t want to rent.
